Summer - Tokyo Day 4 - Studio Ghibli, Shinjuku, Tokyo Metropolitan Building

now u onto day 4 with me... studio ghibli!!! the land of hayao miyazaki... spirited away, totoro, kiki delivery service and etc...

my journey to studio ghibli.. taking the bus... 300yen for round trip... but one way is 200yen... it's summer so i'm gonna avoid the sunburn...

this is a quick snap... actually inside you cant take picture coz inside is full of studio ghibli works stained glass windows... it's real beautiful and they frequent updated their stained glass window with their latest works. last i saw was ponyo on the ceiling...

after you cooked it sukiyaki, you are suppose to dip the meat into the raw egg mix and eat it straight away... =D although the egg are optional 50yen...

this fella's rum mont blanc is GREAT! strong and not overcome with the sweetness of the meringue inside it...

famous for its caramel... but i gotta say it's pretty good caramel tart and flambois tart as well... crisp outside and the filling is fullfilling n not sweet enough to kill me... with diabetics

  1. Wow! Love the pictures. Kind of feels like stepping into one of those manga yaoi I love to read ^.^ Nakamura Shungiku draws so much food in her manga and it's great to see similar food in pictures. I hope I can go to Japan one day.

  2. yeah... it's good to plan ur trip before going... =) i did my planning to go during the summer for the lake asahi tour but I missed my boatride due to undue weather... I would recommend Yokoso for day tours... they are a great company and pretty reasonable price as well...
