now u onto day 4 with me... studio ghibli!!! the land of hayao miyazaki... spirited away, totoro, kiki delivery service and etc...
my journey to studio ghibli.. taking the bus... 300yen for round trip... but one way is 200yen... it's summer so i'm gonna avoid the sunburn...
this is the studio ghibli bus i took from mitaka station.. =D it's pretty outskirt from tokyo city itself...
this is before i managed to enter the studio ghibli...
this is the bus stop... with a cute sign post as well
this is the totoro reception place...
this are some pictures i took while waiting for my turn to enter the place...
this is outside the catbus room ( only small kids get to play with the catbus... how sad for me... )
this staircase leads to the rooftop where you can see the laputa robot...
this is the scenery i can see from the rooftop...
the laputa robot... it's made of real steel and huge as well... =D made me wanna watch laputa the sky castle all over again...
also from the same movie...
back downstairs now...
can you see the window? =D the 2 cats?
this is the strawhat cafe where huge crowd and long queue as well... famous for their omurice apparently...
this is the exit point... but i'm not done with my tour yet...
some nice stuffs u can see around the studio ghibli... real treasure hunting actually looking at all the fine details..
this is a quick snap... actually inside you cant take picture coz inside is full of studio ghibli works stained glass windows... it's real beautiful and they frequent updated their stained glass window with their latest works. last i saw was ponyo on the ceiling...
this is the floor plan of the studio ghibli... =D u can watch the 15mins movie at saturn there... pretty neat
place... and i watched the new show...
the official emblem of studio ghibli...
i left studio ghibli and now plan to eat horsemeat here... =D
this is cooked sukiyaki style horsemeat... =D
after you cooked it sukiyaki, you are suppose to dip the meat into the raw egg mix and eat it straight away... =D although the egg are optional 50yen...
this is inside the restaurant... pretty typical traditional japanese restaurant..
these are picture i took from the Tokyo Metropolitan Building which is the tallest and taken from the 45th floor... best of all free admission...
my dinner... from isetan...
this fella's rum mont blanc is GREAT! strong and not overcome with the sweetness of the meringue inside it...
not so great macarons...
quite nice cake...
famous for its caramel... but i gotta say it's pretty good caramel tart and flambois tart as well... crisp outside and the filling is fullfilling n not sweet enough to kill me... with diabetics
this is studio ghibli newest movie soon to be released... poppy from the hills...
these are the entrance tickets i get from studio ghibli... pretty cool as they used the movie films to make it...
Wow! Love the pictures. Kind of feels like stepping into one of those manga yaoi I love to read ^.^ Nakamura Shungiku draws so much food in her manga and it's great to see similar food in pictures. I hope I can go to Japan one day.
ReplyDeleteyeah... it's good to plan ur trip before going... =) i did my planning to go during the summer for the lake asahi tour but I missed my boatride due to undue weather... I would recommend Yokoso for day tours... they are a great company and pretty reasonable price as well...
